About Me

My name is Molly Pocklington and I hold a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto. School placements included Toronto General Hospital's In-Patient as well as Day-Hospital Eating Disorders unit as well at Hinks-Dellcrest (now the SickKids Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health) providing in-home support to parents with their children. I have been practicing for over 10 years.

If you are looking to begin or continue the process of healing, here is what you can expect if you chose to work with me. I believe healing happens when all elements of the person are addressed; cognitive, emotional, physical, and spiritual.

My interest first and foremost is to help you feel seen, heard and understood; that I truly get why you have come for support. Once this rapport has been established, we can move into processing and ultimately letting go of the pain that you have been carrying.

While talk therapies can be helpful for connecting dots and making sense of big feelings that make us feel out of control or overwhelmed, they stop short of processing the feelings. Without processing, feelings will continue to come back over and over again making us feel trapped and helpless. There are a number of trauma informed therapeutic modalities that I have trained in to assist this process including IFS, EFT, Hypnosis and EMDR.

Highlights of Trainings I have attended:

  • Somatic Internal Family Systems

  • IFS Master Classes on: Trauma and Dissociation, Addiction, Legacy Burdens, Racism, Unattached Burdens, IFS and Spirituality, Treating Relational and Complex Trauma

  • IFS Skills and Competencies Training

  • EMDR Basic Training Part 1 & 2

  • Hypnosis Levels 1 & 2

  • EFFT – multiple trainings and webinars

  • EFT – levels 1, 2 & 3, Couples and Complex Trauma
